- The HWI project aims to reduce morbidity and mortality in children under five from diarrheal diseases through a strategic communications campaign to promote handwashing with soap (HWWS) among mothers of children under five in Phase I and through primary school children in Phase II. The Ministry of Health (MoH), Department of Preventive Medicine, is leading the initiative with technical support from WSP and implementation support from the Vietnam Women’s Union (WU). A variety of other partners including private soap companies and INGOs together with the public sector and donor agencies form a larger Public Private Partnership.
